If you have been an Avid Follower of my Brother David’s Blog, you may have come across this gem several months back. This magnificent speech will spark the fire back into the dreamer’s soul.
In the words of my brother:
“This is going to probably be the only place
you’ll ever find this, because I had to transfer
it from a ratted out 1980′s audio tape to MP3…
It’s about 3-4 hours, but you’ll be inspired to an
entirely new level if you take the time to listen,
because what Amway has done better than any
company in the world has been to
Build the Dream”
-David Wood
Dave Severn, a long time Diamond in the Amway Corporation Gave this dynamic speech back in the early ’80′s. I’m not in Amway, but everyone in this Amazing industry should be grateful for them.
In 1975, they began a four year court battle with the FTC that ended in the landmark Superior Court Ruling, which made Network Marketing Legal in the United States, paving the way for Legitimate MLM companies to be Legal in over 100 Countries.
My Bro put this as good as I could, so I’ll just quote him again, “I wanted to just take a minute to thank Dave Severn for producing one of the most inspirational audios that I’ve ever heard in my life. There were many times when the only thing that kept me inspired was listening to an old ratted out Amway tape on the way to someones home, and that’s what our industry is all about.”
I personally think Chuck Norris may be the most inspirational man on Earth, but this audio comes in close. This baby is a couple of hours long, so Grab some Nachos, Hit Play, Pull out a Pen and Paper, and get ready to have a fire lit in your heart that will remind you what it feels like to Dream!

I couldn’t help myself, I just had to do a Review on Amway Global. I know there a lot of reviews out there that make Amway look like some “dinosaur of a company” that you can’t make money in; I am here to tell you that this isn’t the case. If anyone is out there that thinking about joining Amway, I’m here to tell you that they are a solid company, and I’m not even in Amway.
Everyone in network marketing should be thanking Amway for defeating the FTC on May 8, 1979. Since then MLM has been legal in over 100 countries. Thank You Amway because now I have the option not to work a job, because jobs are really gay. I don’t mean gay as in a negative reference towards homosexuals, because if you a dude that likes other dudes, I don’t understand, but that’s cool for you; and if you are a chick that likes chicks… I’d be a liar if I said I don’t think that was hot… I mean really gay in the slang sense that just means that jobs suck. Why would anyone want to give someone else control of their life?
Honestly, Amway is great. I actually started off my network marketing career trying to get rich in Amway. I learned a lot from that experience:
1. Wandering around in shopping malls is an ineffective way to recruit for me
2. I really hate product pickup…. but don’t worry, if you are looking at doing Amway, they finally got rid of it
3. Going Door to Door trying to sell people on Amway Doesn’t work. I was however fortunate enough to get invited into one gentleman’s home. I’ll sum that experience up with these words: urine smell, snaggle-tooth, rabid animals, and repulsive. I’ll tell that story another time.
4. Don’t try and recruit gay dudes in the locker room of a gym in downtown phoenix, because they might get the wrong idea and try to seduce you. Yeah… I won’t be telling that story, just trust me, don’t do it unless you are into that sort of thing(the short version is that I got rufied, but managed to escape).
As you can probably guess, I wasn’t successful in Amway at all. Honestly, it wasn’t the company’s fault, but I was just doing things that were horribly ineffective… and sometimes terrifying. Amway Global is probably the most established company in all of Network Marketing. Honestly, they have some of the best leaders in the entire industry that can provide mentorship that is second to none.
If I were ever to consider joining forces with them again, I would seek out Dean Kosage, and position myself in the leadership in his team. Dean is a dynamic leader that is innovative, creative, funny, and committed to the success of his team. There are a lot of great leaders within Amway Global, but he would be my top pick. Amway also has a great product line, and a very strong culture. There are however some downsides.
Most people have heard about, tried, or know somebody that vehemently hates Amway. They are also towards the top of their S-curve, which makes it harder to make money in their company. Please don’t take that wrong, because a true leader can make money at any stage of a company’s development; there are however certain periods of time in a company’s growth that creating wealth is easier. Watch the video on my Last Post if you want more on this.
My only other real big gripe with Amway is that the products consume your life. The concept of being a pro-sumer(buying products from yourself instead of the store) is really cool, but I am a guy that likes to choose what I buy. I used to listen to some of the leaders talk about how they would go through their downline’s home and throw away all of the products that were “competitor products” in the trash… I doubt they do that anymore, but I still prefer the freedom of choice without feeling guilt for not liking my company’s toothpaste.
The only other real downside I can see is that the compensation plan is good, but could definitely be better. The payouts are about as old as the company, and many better compensation structures have been written since.
However, most diamonds also make a great deal of money with “Tool Money,” so that makes up for some of it, but doesn’t help the average builder a whole lot. Some people get their panties all bunched up over the fact that Amway leaders make a good deal of income from their tools. I’m going to present another way to look at this: Who the hell cares?
Mike Dillard makes most of his money from tools, and nobody seems to give a shit, so why care if Amway leaders make money from tools? The only part of this that was ever unethical was that a lot of the leaders lied about it. Here is the truth: Amway Leaders make money from tools; get over it. When(or if) you become diamond you can make money from tools too.
In conclusion, if you are looking at aligning yourself with Amway, you are not making a bad decision. They are a stellar company with a tremendous track record and top-notch leadership and mentorship. Is it the right decision for you? Honestly, that simply depends on what you are looking for. In my opinion, the company does have some weak points, but if you are dedicated to being successful you can make it work; just make sure you are aligning yourself with a good team. I’ve reviewed hundreds of MLM companies over the years, and honestly, there are a lot of great opportunities out there; in my research, I’ve seen the good, the bad, the ugly, and the butt-ass ugly.
The best thing that anyone can do is pick a good, solid, opportunity and run with it. 95% of all network marketers that stick to a single company, and stay active for ten years, are making a six figure income.Compare that to corporate America. There are a lot of important factors involved when choosing a quality company, so let’s see how The Numis Network measures up.
The key is finding the opportunity that is right for you, stable, and working with a team that is willing to help you when you need it. I’ve found that with Numis, but my company might not be the right one for you. I’ll review the strengths and weaknesses that this company has so you can make an intelligent decision for yourself.
Lets be perfectly honest for a minute: most auto-ships suck. I’ve been involved in a handful of opportunities over the years, and I’ve got to be honest; in most cases I really didn’t like the product. I thought I would when I heard about it, but as soon as it started coming in the mail, and stacking up in my closet, I stopped being excited about the new vitamin ‘made from the Martian Comet that landed in the Chilean Mountains during the ides of March,’ or the ‘new juice that has been hand squeezed from the finest dingle berries that is going to give me more energy than I’ve ever had, and make me live to be 150.’
There really are a lot of wild MLM claims out there aren’t there? The truth is that 99% of all people don’t have the “magical” experience when taking supplements, we forget to take them daily, and when that $200 autoship hits our credit card, we painfully turn our eyes to the garage where we have a neatly stacked pyramid of product boxes staring back into our soul… so after a couple of months, we cancel it.
You might be asking, “What does that have to do with Numis, you sell Gold and Silver, not Vitamins!” EXACTLY; even though there are a lot of great consumable products in MLM, most people don’t consume them as fast as they buy them. Numis sells Gold and Silver; I bet you would be pretty happy if you had a garage full of Gold and Silver wouldn’t you?
There are over 4,800 different network marketing companies that market health and wellness products, not to mention all of the other vitamin brands that can be found at Walmart, or any other grocery store. The Natural Marketing Institute (NMI) announced that retail sales within the U.S. consumer packaged goods health and wellness industry reached almost $125 billion in 2009, depending on which source you follow, the industry as a whole has annual sales of about $170 billion.
To reiterate, that is a $170 billion dollar industry with over 4,800 MLM opportunities marketing in its space. The numismatics coin industry is a $100 billion dollar a year industry, and there is only ONE Network Marketing Company selling the product. Numis Networkis a collectibles company, we market perfect condition Gold and Silver coins that have been graded by the top 4 coin grading companies. When I was young, I collected comic books; coins are just like comics or cards in that the better condition they are in, and the rarer they are, the more they are worth.
The four top grading companies are ANACS, PCGS, ICG, and NCG. We have an exclusive contract with ANACS for network marketing, and they are the only of the four companies that are large enough to handle the volume from a network marketing company. This means that we aren’t going to have a “Me Too” company coming after us anytime soon. We are pioneering a completely new category in Network Marketing, and specialize in the highest grade, perfect mint state coins(MS70).
The Numis Network is debt free, profitable and privately owned. The owners own a company called IDSTC that has written over 400 compensation plans for network marketing companies. They picked all of the best stuff and put it into Numis. Most compensation plans are pretty good, some are really good, this thing is quite frankly ridiculous. I can’t explain the coded bonuses in writing, but if you click on the Work With Aki link on the side you’ll be able to get access to a presentation that will explain it to you.
Numis Network’s products have historically gone up in value over time. If you would have collected one silver ms70 coin per month for the last 30 years, it would have cost you about 25 thousand dollars. That collection would be worth over $300,000 today. Where else can you find an auto-ship that will probably be worth more money five years from now than it is worth today? How many MLM products are going to be worth anything 5 years from now? If someone started with Numis, never did any marketing, and just bought the product, they would still be better off.
I could probably rant about the benefits of Numis all day, but instead I’ll close with this: Many of the great online marketers have converged under one roof to market for the Numis Network. If you want to be the best; learn from the best. If you are marketing online, Join The Revolution, and become a part of the winning team that is taking over the internet. You wouldn’t have a rugby player teach you how to surf, so why don’t you join Myself, my brother, David, Cedrick Harris, Toby & Layla, Jim Chao, and the rest of our internet mastermind team in the Greatest Network Marketing Opportunity Since Amway.
Oh wait, I almost forgot, I was going to tell the weaknesses of Numis:There Aren’t Any. If you can find one please comment or email me and I’ll be happy to respond. I’ve been looking for one for months and haven’t been able to find it yet(nothing of any significance). In summary, Numis is debt free, has first mover advantage, no competition, an autoship that gains value, the best compensation plan I’ve ever seen, and talented leaders that are ready and willing to help you succeed. If you haven’t found your home, you will want to take a strong look at what we have to offer.

I was driving down the beautiful North Shore of Oahu today, and I had some thoughts on the network marketing industry that cracked me up. I don’t know how many times I’ve heard the,“…Isn’t that one of those pyramid deals…”objection over the years, but for some reason people never seem to get tired of keeping themselves ignorant.
Let us discuss the wonder of the Pyramids for a moment. These fascinating structures have intrigued mankind ever since their inception. We don’t even know who built them, or how they were constructed. They are arguably the greatest architectural feat of all time, and they were used to entomb the Pharaohs, or Gods, of ancient Egypt. They are filled with, gold, treasures, royalty and endless amounts of speculation and mysticism.
Lets talk for a minute about a traditional job. First of all they suck. In our country’s beginning, 85% of people owned their own business, and the remaining 15% worked for them until they knew enough to go open up shop on their own. Why has this balance completely shifted? Who sold us the idea that it is better to slave away for someone else for 40 years…. for 40 hours a week…. just so we can retire on 40% of what wasn’t enough in the first place? That has got to be the lamest system that I have ever heard of and yet we have over 80% of America subscribing to it.
Fortune magazine recently did a poll as to whether or not people liked their jobs. The results came in: 85% of employees hate what they do and would leave in a moments notice if something else better came along. Half of these monkeys still cry, “PYRAMID SCHEME,” every time they hear about a network marketing company. Well genius, I’ll tell you right now I wouldn’t trade what I do for what you do. 40 hours a week, for 40 years to get 40% ….hmmmmmm…. that sounds a lot more like digging a grave than it does building a fortune.
By the time people are old enough to enjoy retirement they have one foot in both worlds. To top it off, people are working longer now; do you think you are going to retire at 65 in the traditional system? Well, per the social security administration, even right now at the age of 65, 98% of Americans are flat broke.
I’ll tell you what: You Dig Your Grave, I’ll Build My Pyramid. Pyramids are a lot cooler than jobs anyways. Pyramids are the greatest architectural feat in modern history; they are associated with gods and riches. Jobs just plain stink, if you have one, or ever have had one, I’m sure you know what I’m talking about. Is network marketing pyramid structure? Absolutely.
In network marketing we have the opportunity to be like a Pharaoh and build our own pyramid. Every person that joins an MLM has the opportunity to be at the top of their own personal pyramid. News flash: jobs are pyramids too, the only difference is the CEO of your company is at the top, and you are at the bottom. Wouldn’t you rather be the CEO of You INC.? Wouldn’t you rather start your own pyramid from the top as the CEO than spend 40 years trying to work your way up from the bottom of someone elses? It just makes sense, doesn’t it?
Just for a kicker for that uneducated skeptic saying to themselves, “Well, that is an illegal pyramid SCHEME….” I am going to take 1 more minute to educate you. In 1979 two of the greatest events in modern history occurred. The first was on March 27th, 1979. On this historic date a child was born in Fairbanks, Alaska that would later come to be known as “Aki Wood.” The second event happened just over a month later, the FTC lost a five year court battle with the Amway corporation that made network marketing legal in the United States, and over 100 other countries. BAM!
Interestingly enough, according to modern astrologers, the stars aligned just right on March 27th, 1979 to force photons to into the atmosphere that caused a mass awareness to overcome the entire planet. Many believe that it is this phenomenon that raised the minds of the courts to a higher plane of being, thus inducing the landmark decision of May 8th. For this very reason many have called me the destiny child of MLM, so if you are in the industry, and you would like a new and interesting perspective on things, feel free to follow my blog. I’ll be providing valuable training and giving back to the community of networkers as much as I can. I love this industry and I wish the best of success upon all of you. Next time someone gives you the pyramid scheme objection just remember; It is Better to Build a Pyramid, Than to Dig a Grave.
