Today, we are going to talk about something that every Network and Affiliate marketer should have PERIOD: a good auto-responder service. Even if your company comes with one, you should have your own, no ‘ifs ands or buts.’

I recommend Aweber, they are super inexpensive(only 19.95/Month), and they are an excellent service. I personally use Aweber; this training is going to show you how to create custom Opt-In Forms from the Aweber back office.

This training took me countless hours of sorting through crappy YouTube tutorial videos, asking friends for help, and a lot of trial and error to put together. I’m basically handing you my secrets for creating professional looking, bad ass opt in forms for free, so enjoy:

I cut this video a few days ago when my back was hurting horribly.  We drove out of town to relax, and when we got to one of the river spots we often hang out at…

What Countries Are The Empower Network In?

Vultures of the Direct Sales Industry

It’s actually almost comical how much energy and effort people spend trying to bash other companies so that they can have more success in their own.  This small thinking only hurts everyone.

Quite frankly, it doesn’t matter at all whether or not other companies are having success.  There are a lot of good companies out there, and quite frankly, everyone is not going to want to join your “Deal.”  A lot of reps out there have been thoroughly convinced that they have the best program on the planet, and that anybody that does anything else is an idiot.

Lets cut through the bullshit for a minute and ask the ‘Big Question:’

“Why the hell do people get into these ‘Pyramid’ deals anyways?”

Well duh, to “Make Money.” 

…And just to be clear, I don’t think that money making opportunities are pyramid schemes.  I just like to call them that because I think it is hilarious.  Honestly, it would be awesome if pyramid schemes were legal, because then we could all make money without doing anything.  The only organizations that have somehow made that legal for themselves are the government and the banks.  Bastards; why can’t he all get something for nothing?  The rest of us actually have to sell products and work for what we get…

…Anyways, off my rant, and back to the point…

Lets not lie, or rant on and on about how “my product is better than your product,” and “this compensation model sucks while this one is the secret to the universe…”

…Its almost like watching a bunch of prepubescent boys argue about which one of them is cooler because of a quarter inch difference in Penis size.  Who cares?  They are both penises; yes, perhaps one is better than the other, but they both have the same damn functions.

Are there better and worse compensation plans and marketing opportunities?  Well yes, of course there are.  That doesn’t mean it is useful at all to bag on “the other deal” just to make yours look better.  Its kind of like that same idiot teenager walking up to a girl he likes saying, “You know we actually measured, and it turns out that my penis is 1/10th of an inch bigger than every one else.  Wanna go out?”

With the exception of the class slut, that is not going to be the first quality that the girl is going to be looking for.  They’ll be thinking, “Do I like this guy?  Is he fun?  Do I think he’s cute?”

Well, quite frankly your prospects have a similar mindset; they aren’t looking for you to whip it out on the first date.  They want to know, “Do I like them?  Do I trust them?  Do I want to work with them?  Do I feel they can help me?”

Guess what, getting a “Yes” answer to those questions is a lot better than the “My comp plan is bigger than your comp plan” card.  People want to work with people they like, and know that they can make money, and that you can help them.  Don’t get me wrong, having the biggest comp plan on the block isn’t going to hurt your chances, but it isn’t going to be the deal closer in the long term(you aren’t looking for a one night stand in a bar here).  People are going to want to stick with you because you are a leader, they like you, and you are helping them make money.

Folks, we aren’t in a teenage cock contest here; there are a lot of good companies out there, and you can make money with a lot of them.  If you have a valid criticism about a specific company, that is one thing, but walking around screaming, “Mine is bigger than yours,” is just childish.  Isn’t a better message, “That is good, and I do think this is better, but the real question is do you want me to help you and work with you…”

There is plenty of room at the top for what all of us are selling.  We all don’t want to sell the same thing and that’s fine.  I think there are a lot of great companies out there, and frankly, I don’t view them as competition.  I actually wish everyone out there the best of success, I’m just only going to work with people and help them if they are a part of my own team and my inner circle.

Personally, I am a leader, and work to help people have success.  I work with people when they listen to me, and are on my personal team.  Otherwise, I don’t have time because I have a family and a life.  Here’s the kicker though; not everyone wants to work with me.  Some people might be offended that I said penis more than once in an article, or doesn’t like the fact that I do topless presentations or roll around the snow in my underwear.

That’s perfectly fine because there is plenty of room at the top.  You see, we are not really in competition with one another.  Yes, people will jump from downline to downline, or deal to deal in this industry, but lets face it, what is the real reason for that?

They aren’t happy where they are at for one reason or another, so they move on.  People are usually only going to stick with you long term if they are getting some results, or value from you as a leader.  98% of people could give a rats ass that your product is the best in the universe.  Yes, it helps, but the reality is that your team wants to drive cool cars, date attractive people, and have a good lifestyle.

The last damaging thing I am going to talk about today are the ‘Vultures’ of the industry.  The moment the FTC starts to investigate another company, they target all of the reps, and say things like, “Well the FTC is investigating them, they must be a scam, you should join my deal.”

Come on guys, lets grow up.  There are basically 2 acronyms that describe the FTC, Fuck The Consumer(my brother came up with that one), and Fuck True Capitalism.  The FTC looks for reasons to shut people down, and there are honestly a lot of laws that make it really difficult to comply with all of the regulations and run a business.  Just because the FTC is investigating something, it does not mean that the company isn’t good.

Amway is a good example of this.  I don’t market for them, but they are a great company that is stable, and has been around for years.  They had a court battle with the FTC back in the 70′s and won.  Its actually kind of funny, up until yesterday, the first line of Wikipedia read, “Amway is a pyramid scheme that uses Network Marketing to sell a variety of products…”  Someone actually edited it and changed “Pyramid Scheme” to “Direct Sales Organization” today(which is actually much more accurate).  You gotta love peer edited articles.

Don’t believe everything you read on the internet(unless of course I’m writing it because everything I say is true, including my wild stories about Chuck Norris and Mustachules).

Anyways, I’m rambling at this point, but I just wanted to drive home that we need to stop taking the small mindedness out of our marketing.  We really aren’t in competition with one another, so lets stop trying to compare penis sizes.  I know I’ve got a big comp plan, but I also know that the reason people are going to join with me and stay is that I provide value, and help them have success.

This industry is just like dating; there are plenty of fish in the sea. 

People are going to quit your business, get over it.  There are always more people that are ready to join.  Lets have an abundance mindset verses a poverty mindset, and we can all get what we want.  There is plenty of room at the top, its the bottom that’s crowded.

After having ended the war in Iraq single handed, Mustachules was taking a break and hiding out in the mountains.  As he gazed upon the late evening stars, our heroes thoughts wandered to family.  His son, the mighty Chuck Norris, had been missing for almost a month.  Mustachules knew that the government was trying to get Chuck to investigate the WMD’s in Afghanistan, but his eccentric son never told his weary father if he had accepted the top secret mission.

As he was pondering on what Chuck could be scheming, a flash of brilliant light lit the night sky like day, and a comet came crashing to Earth with a thunderous blow.  It nearly took off Ken’s head(Ken Wells is the proud bearer of the mighty Mustachules, an Alien Symbiot Mustache that is the true father of Chuck Norris), but Mustachules activated a force-field that deflected it at the last moment.

When Ken and Mustachules went to investigate, they were astonished to see the crumbled figure of their son, moaning in the massive crater that lay before them.  What force in the universe could have possibly defeated the indestructible Chuck Norris?

“What Happened Son?”

“…I.. Ice Ninjas… From the Dark Side of the Moon…” Chuck groaned in response.

A cold chill ran down Ken’s spine; had they really returned after all these years?

Many many centuries ago, the ice ninjas came from a distant galaxy to take over the planet Earth.  They began in the Orient, and brought with them the secrets of the Samurai Sword.

They would have ruled the entire planet under the reign of their Samurai fury, but Mustachules had teamed up with his son Chuck Norris(half man half indestructible mustache), Sorgon(magical lord of the bears), Althazar(white Sasquatch with the power of lightning), and Alectra, a powerful female warrior from another dimension(who was a fantastic ally, with immense power, but very distracting to fight along side because she insisted on fighting topless so she could more effectively utilize her Nipple-Lasers).

Our team of misfit heroes managed to imprison the evil Ninjas on the dark side of the moon, the last time they had gained strength.  Unfortunately, they had finally found a way to escape, and were gathering their evil forces.  Chuck Norris had gone to quell their rebellion, with what remained of his mutant army after the pubic wars, but even they fell before the powerful forces of the Ice Ninjas.

As Chuck began to gather his senses, he looked Ken directly in the Mustache and said:

“Father, they are gaining strength.  When I discovered they had escaped, and were gathering their forces, I thought I could stop the escape with my band of Mutants.  Every one of my minions fell in the battle, and I was sent hurtling back to Earth after their leader deflected my mighty roundhouse kick.  I think they may have actually gotten stronger.”

“We’ll need to find Alectra; she’s been in hiding for nearly three centuries now.”

“I’ll begin searching immediately, Father.  Perhaps we should also call of the forces of the Ambiguously gay Daves and their Empower Network army.  They don’t allow any Wussies, so if we arm them against Ninjas, they could prove to be a powerful ally.”

“Good Idea.  You find Alectra, and see if she will gather the Amazons.  I’ll send a message to Aki, and see if he can get his brother to gather their Anti-Wussy army.  With our powers combined, perhaps we can save the universe from this evil disturbance…”

Revenge of the Internet Wussies… I can’t help but to laugh from that title.  It’s amazing how serious people take everything isn’t it?  If you are like me, you like to live life on your own terms and have fun.

A while back I posted a couple of comments in a thread about something I promote on Scam.com.   I didn’t bother responding for a while, because it is basically a huge waste of my time.  It’s like my dad used to always say:

“Don’t wrestle with a pig, because you both get dirty, and the pig likes it.”

I’ve generally found that to be good advice.  I’m going to post the last comment that I made on the forum here, and then talk a little bit about it:

I forgot how entertaining this thread was; I haven’t responded to anything here in quite some time, and I get to come back to being personally attacked!

For the record, my “Butt Monkey” comment was not ever in reference to EN; someone is quoting a sarcastic line from the Privacy Policy on My PERSONAL Blog(which is completely independent of the Empower Network), and taking it out of context.

I’m a total smart ass with my marketing because I like to enjoy what I’m doing, and have fun.

I’m not trying to attract everyone to my material; its called niche marketing.

The reason I stopped responding to this thread is that most of the arguments here are baseless, and there are much better uses of my time.

If you want to attack me, by all means, go to my personal blog(click here) and do it so I can at least defend myself properly.

Then people that read your comments will at least know whether or not what you are stating is a ‘Half quote’ that is or isn’t related to what you are talking about.

The only legitimate concern that I have seen raised in here is some people are questioning the value of the product.

Honestly, I could come up with thousands of testimonials of people that love the product independent of the opportunity…

…that being said, the product isn’t for everyone. Being that I am a Man, I have no use for vaginal cream; that doesn’t mean that it isn’t a good product.

The Empower Network products are designed to help people with sales and marketing. The flagship product, our Viral Blogging System, is worth waaaay more than is being charged for it. If you are in the marketing game(network, affiliate, private business, etc), this product will likely be valuable to you.

To be fair, I could have called this post, “Charles Xavier Vs Magneto,” but “Revenge of the Internet Wussies” makes me laugh too hard.

There are two main types of people that pick up their swords and crusade against home-business opportunities.

1. Wussies
2. People that are really trying to help

The wussies are people that have quit, didn’t have the success they desired, and want to bring everyone down to their level.  It’s the ‘Crabs in a bucket’ concept.  You can put a bunch of crabs in a bucket, and when one starts to crawl out, the others pinch it, and pull it back in; you don’t even need a lid.  This is one of the big reasons that the law of association is so important.

Now lets move on to the people that are trying to help.  I think in terms of super heroes; I’ve collected comics my whole life, literally thought I could fly until I was 4, and still hope that someday a nuclear spider will bite me and make me into Spider-Man.  I used to have long conversations with my best friends discussing the possible ways we could give ourselves super powers.

It is actually this ‘Hero Complex’ that got me into the Network Marketing game.  At a very young age, I saw a lot of ‘Grown Ups’ suffering in the traditional system, working jobs they didn’t like, and wishing they were living somewhere else in the world.  I didn’t want any part of it, and I made a decision a long time ago to live a life that I enjoyed.

When I was still a teenager, I met some people that were rich and young, and they did it through Network Marketing.  I decided then that I would do it someday because, the way I saw it, this was a model that you make more money by helping more people make money.  If you really understand the math behind everything, that is where the true, walk away residual income comes from in this industry(helping others have success).

Honestly, I got beat up for a long time, and eventually quit the industry for a while because I ran into a lot of people that just wanted to take everyone’s money and run(the dark side of the industry).  Here’s the interesting thing though; I never blamed the industry.  I knew the industry worked because I personally knew a lot of people that were doing well with it.

If I blamed the industry, it would be like blaming the game of basketball if I lost every time I played.  What if someone that always lost said things like this:

“Well, basketball is just a stupid game; all of my friends and I lose every time we play.”

It sounds more to me like that person needs to get a good coach, learn some skills, and find some friends that know how to play the game.  It isn’t the ball’s fault, but the person that is holding it.

I have always been tall for my age, but when I was younger, kids that were 6-8 inches shorter than me would OWN me on the basketball court.  I didn’t know how to dribble, and had a funky shot that came from my waste.

One day I made a decision that I was going to learn the fundamentals and get good at the game.  I went from getting owned to being able to score at will; it wasn’t the ball’s fault, it was me that had the problem.

This second type of person(the one that is sincerely trying to help) is trying to get people to stop playing basketball because they sincerely think it is a bad game.  Its kind of like Magneto from the X-Men comics.

Professor Xavier didn’t want all of the people in the world to be a mutant; he just wanted the government to leave him, and his fellow mutants alone so they could live their lives the way that they wanted.  Magneto wanted to eliminate the humans, and let the mutants rule the world as the superior race.

Both sides feel like they are right, and by their own definition are ‘Super-Heroes.’  The reason that I compare people that crusade against home business to Magneto, is that rather than legitimately looking at an opportunity and making an educated statement as to whether or not something is a scam, they tend to label everything as a scam, or at least apply the “Guilty until proven innocent” approach.

Honestly, it is a form of bigotry: “I don’t like your model, so I am going to call it a scam.”  It’s very similar to hating someone because of their religious faith; just because they don’t agree with you, they are evil, and you are justified to hate them.

Honestly, I think jobs suck, but I don’t want everyone to stop working and get into the home based business niche.  It doesn’t work; the whole system thrives on people having the ability to choose their own path.  Employees are important, and the message that I deliver is not meant for someone that wants to work a job forever, and loves the traditional retirement system.

My message is meant for people that want to change their lives, are willing to work for it, and are trying to get out of the traditional system.  I want people to have jobs because then there will be people for me to pay to do the things that I don’t want to do.

…and HONESTLY folks, if you want a forum that is going to give honest feedback for people that want to make money on the internet, you will get much better feedback from WarriorForum.com than Scam.com.  The Warrior Forum is mostly composed of people that are in the game and trying to make money on the internet; Scam.com is mostly composed of people that think everything is a scam.

Both sites can be useful when trying to determine the value of a product, but from a personal standpoint, I would rather get straight forward information from someone that is in the game, and looking at things objectively, rather than from someone that thinks every money making opportunity is a pyramid scheme.

Anyways… I’m ranting at this point, so I’ll sum it up by saying this:

Don’t be a Wussy.  Yes, some there are some scams out there, but not everything is.  Find good sources of information when reviewing a product.  Don’t buy products you don’t have a use for(like vaginal cream if you are a man) and then get mad about it.  Know that it isn’t the ball’s fault, but the skills of the person wielding it in their hands.
