Network Marketing is Awesome, and I’ll Prove It!

OK, the other day, I went over several of the negative aspects of the Network Marketing industry. Now, I’m going to prove that Network Marketing is Awesome.  Let’s talk for a minute about the Benefits of being involved in this “Different” type of business. Honestly, I don’t have time to go over all of the benefits, so please feel free to leave your thoughts, and additions in the comments below.

Here are some of the Highlights:

  1. The most POSITIVE work atmosphere I have ever seen. Whereas your typical job tends to stress people out about “Hitting the Numbers.” MLM is taken at your own pace; to be successful in it does take a good deal of work, but people are allowed to start “Part Time” before they go “Full Time,” and are NEVER given any quotas!
  2. No Boss. There are 2 things that really suck about Bosses, the first is Having one, and the second is BEING one!  Most people start to abuse their authority the moment that they get it, it’s the time old concept that “Power Corrupts.” The problem is that even when one isn’t a corrupt jerk, they tend to get separated from their friends when they get promoted.  When people mix being a boss with being a friend, it puts every one in an awkward situation.  Nobody tells you what to do or fires you in Network Marketing, they simply love you, encourage you, and help you when you ask for it.  As opposed to traditional business, having your “Downline” get better than you doesn’t make you look bad, and it only means more money for everyone.
  3. It’s pretty hard to get fired. Notice I didn’t say, “You can’t get fired.” In most companies, your business relationship can get severed if you are being unethical in the way you do business.  However, you will not get “Fired” if you are late, don’t show up to a meeting, don’t do any work for a year, sleep when you were planning on working, Tell your upline to F!#$ Off, grow your Hair long, have a hideous beard, practice poor hygiene, fart in a meeting, dress how you feel, etc, etc, I’m sure you get the point.
  4. You write your own paycheck. Depending on who you are, this can be a very good, or a very bad thing.  You can make as much money as you want in network marketing.  You can also make nothing, the choice is entirely up to you.  There is virtually no cap on how much money one can make within the industry.  Making over a million a  year is quite common among the top income earners, and there are loads of people making high six figure incomes.  In traditional business, one may get a steady paycheck, but they have little say in How Much they are Worth.
  5. Education doesn’t matter. You can be a high school dropout, or a PHD, and either way one has the same opportunity within MLM.  The only advantage the PHD would have is that their sphere of influence (or in other words their “List”) would probably have more money for start up costs than the sphere of the high school dropout.  Traditional education has absolutely nothing to do with the creation of wealth; in fact, it often hinders it, but that is a discussion for another time.
  6. Low Start up Costs. A traditional small business, or a Franchise, cost A LOT of money to start up.  Want to own a McDonald’s?  Well, that costs over a million dollars to get started.  My friend Axel started a portable Taco truck on the North Shore of Oahu; I don’t know all of his start up costs, but I do know that the TRUCK ALONE cost him $70,000. I could drive this into the ground, but the point is that the average MLM costs between $100 and $2,000 to get started.  Yes, it may be an expensive HOBBY, but it is by no means an expensive BUSINESS.  Personally, my primary company is just shy of $500 to get started, and the income potential is basically unlimited.  Realistically, $100,000 is a hard barrier of entry for a lot of people to start a business, for someone with one cell of creativity in their body, $1000 is a joke if that is all that is keeping them from owning a business that can create a six figure income.
  7. Real Estate and Network Marketing are the Number 1 and Number 2 creators of new millionaires in the United States. It isn’t only this that is pretty cool, but the fact that the majority of distributors(approximately 95%), that stick with one reputable network marketing company for 10 years as an active distributor, are making a six figure income.  It is almost impossible for someone entering the workforce to stay in the same place for 10 years anymore without getting downsized or fired, and even if they did, I guarantee nowhere near that percentage are making six figures or more.
  8. Lifestyle. Hands down the best lifestyles out of anyone I have personally met are those of professional network marketers.  Seriously, they are even better than professional surfers, actors, and athletes. Why? Well, in some cases they make more money, take as many weeks(or months) of vacation as they want, they typically work less hours, and they can go out to eat with out some ass-wad paperazzi trying to take a photo of their 2 year old, or have a savvy writer make something up about their personal life to sell more magazines.
  9. Tax Advantages. I don’t know about you, but anytime there is a legal way to pay less taxes, I’m all for it.  I’ll have you talk to your tax guy for details, but trust me, there are a lot of breaks you can get through running a MLM business.
  10. The Power of Compounding. It’s like John Paul Getty, the first recorded billionaire in the United States said: “I’d rather have 1% of the effort of 100 men than 100% of my own effort.” This concept is a long discussion by itself, but I’ll sum it up with this for now: Other People can make money for you while you are sleeping.
  11. Personal Development. The industry as a whole encourages people to read good books, learn new skills, and improve who they are and what they represent.  The atmosphere and the push to further personal education is phenomenal.
  12. The More People You Help, The More Money You Make. One can make money with MLM through personal production, but if they teach several other people to have success and make money, then they make even more and don’t have to work so hard to maintain it.  Awesome. At a traditional job the higher your income goes, the higher your hours get, and if someone else starts to do the work for you, they REPLACE you.  Network Marketing isn’t Dog eat Dog, its Running in a Pack.
  13. Jobs Suck. If you ever had one, you know what I am talking about.  There is the rare person that loves their job, but there is one thing that most people have in common when they tell you they love their job: They are LYING.

I’m going to quit here.  I could honestly list off hundreds, if not thousands of benefits of being in a network marketing company.  It’s a great place to meet forward thinking friends, and if you are willing to put the time in it can make you a butt load of money.

Even most of the people that don’t make money end up diving into personal development and wind up better off having been a part of the industry.

So you still don’t want to be a Network Marketer? That’s great for you, personally I don’t care, and I wish you the best of luck in the Cubicle Brigade.  There is someone out there that doesn’t like what they do, are looking for more, are sick and tired of a boss that treats them with no respect, is tired of working too many hours for too little pay, and THAT is who I am writing this for.

There is a better way.  Network Marketing is F@#!ing Awesome.

For years owning my own businesses and working so many endless hours that i was missing my children grow up..

Yes i was creating a great and comfortable lifestyle for them and the only thing they wanted for was me.

That was the one thing I could not provide for them and still keep our lifestyle.

My second thought was what I would be providing for them after I was gone.

An inheritance only lasts so long and then what?????

With network marketing I am teaching them the skills of a true entrepreneur that they will use forever.

Now I can feel comfortable knowing I am leaving behind a legacy of skills, inheritance booty and a weekly paycheck that will be coming to them for many years after I pass.

My children and childrens children are the ones that will reap the benafits of what I am creating now.

  2. All excellent points Aki! We can’t even fathom going back to the grind of a “normal” 9-5 JOB! NO way Jose! We love the benefits of network marketing and we’re in it to win it! Thanks for breaking it down so others can understand all the advantages of firing their boss and taking control of their lives.
