Network Marketing Sucks if You Don’t Know This One Simple Thing

I find it amazing how many people think they are going to have massive success at anything without seeking out a great mentor and coach. Did you know that people pay $500 an hour, and more, for professional business coaching? Did you also know that it is completely Worth It?

So many people that have extensive talents are still struggling massively in their MLM because they are trying to swim against the currents. They might THINK they have the talents… and they probably do… but they are acting just like I was in the story in my video and paddling hard in the wrong direction.

Are you working hard and not having the results that you want? When was the last time you picked up the phone and connected with someone that is Already Having Success? Those who have blazed the trail before us can help us to accomplish what they have done. If you can’t connect, or don’t resonate with your upline, keep calling upline until you find a coach that you can relate to.

If you HAVE been following my posts, you know that I am a strong advocate of using your own personal creativity to drive your success. However, that personal creativity should be directed by those that actually know what they are doing.

In Network Marketing we have a unique programming for coaching and mentorship. In most areas of business you pay one hell of a lot of money to get a good coach. In MLM it’s free, you just have to dust off the damn phone and make a call. Sometimes you may even have to upgrade your mentor. If your own personal growth goes beyond your current mentor’s, or you have a fundamental difference in philosophy, you may need to find a new one. Here’s a hint though: It’s OK, and ENCOURAGED to have More That ONE! Think about Luke Skywalker; he started off with Obi Wan Kenobi, but eventually had to upgrade to Yoda.

There is a flip side to this. If you aren’t doing any work, don’t call your upline and be a “Tire Kicker.” That basically is someone who thinks network marketing is a get rich quick scheme who is whining to their sponsor about the three people that they talked to that didn’t make them rich… or waiting for checks to come in the mail without doing anything.

Put in the work, and plug into a mentor that can turn you in the right direction. “Its easy to steer a moving ship.” If you haven’t done it already, you should read my brothers article: How to Attract and Keep a Great Coach. It goes over these same concepts from another angle.
