Monitium, Reviewed and Revealed

Today, I am going to give you Monitium, Reviewed and Revealed. Monitium is a new opportunity that is creating a paradigm shift in the Network Marketing industry.  Is it for you?  Should you jump on it?  I can’t answer that question for you, but I can give you the facts from a third party perspective.  I am not doing Monitium, but I have been approached by several people about this new and interesting concept.  Let’s look at the pros first and then the cons.

Monitium is not a scam, and it has a lot of great leaders in the industry backing their leadership board.  Monitium is also NOT a Network Marketing company.  In many ways they are like a Union that protects the rights of the distributors.

Let’s face it, the Network Marketing industry, as a whole, has some problems at the moment.  Guru’s are taking payouts from the highest bidder rather than representing a product they believe in.  Some companies SUE the distributors when they decide they want to build something else(often even if they are trying to continue to build both).  Companies “Decide to stop doing Network Marketing,” leaving the endless amounts of distributors that were marketing for them without a home.  Other companies just go out of business period.  There are also several complete scams that come out every year that are just taking people’s money and hitting the highway.

Not every company has these problems, but other companies are contributing to it.

Monitium addresses these issues, and gives you the opportunity to generate several income streams all at once.  They have a strict process in which they analyze and review a company, and make them sign a contract that protects the rites of the distributor… No more getting sued, no need to company hop, no scams, etc.

In Monitium, you only ever have to build One Downline; Monitium.  You build your Monitium business, and then everyone has the opportunity to join whichever companies are “in the Union.” Having one team, that is involved in several opportunities, is obviously going to be more profitable than having them involved in just one.

The cost?  It’s 50 bucks a month, and after you get four, it’s free.  The auto ship for each company you are a part of is 50 bv, and when you have 4 people, your product is free in each respective opportunity.

So with all of these benefits, why the hell am I not doing Monitium? Well, let’s review some other facts about the Network Marketing industry.

The “Guilt Factor” of MLM. One of the reasons that I separated myself from MLM for a while was because what I saw happening with product stacking. People buy products they never use because they are hoping to “get rich.” Sooner or later, the garage gets full, they haven’t sponsored anyone, and they get pretty frustrated because they didn’t want the product in the first place.

The fact is that Most people never sponsor more than 3 people in Network Marketing.  Is that because the business model is a scam?  No, absolutely not, it’s because most people quit.

95% of people that stick with the industry, with one company, for 10 years, is making a High Six Figure Income!  It just sucks a little bit to watch your distributors buy product they obviously didn’t want.  Why is it obvious?  Well, because they didn’t use it; if they really liked the product 10 months worth of it wouldn’t be lying around collecting dust and mold.  In most cases they are left with nothing of value because most products expire over time, or are a monthly service plan.

What does this have to do with Monitium? Well, while they are addressing many issues in the industry, they can’t fix lazy. Every time a new company is added to Monitium, there will be a “Fear of Loss” for the distributors.  They have to sign up because if they don’t they won’t be able to “take full advantage.” Now, the average, lazy distributor is buying 5 autoships they didn’t want instead of 1.

There will always be people that lose money with Network Marketing, because most people won’t stick with it.  The Monitium model does address several issues, but it will also likely produce an atmosphere where more people are losing more money faster than if they stuck with the traditional model.

Really, this is a lot like Amway. I want to be clear that I think Amway is a great company, and I think Monitium likely will be too, but let’s look at some facts.  There are a lot of Amway distributors out there that feel guilty when they buy a different brand of toothpaste because “If you owned a Ford Dealership, you wouldn’t drive a Chevy.” I think a better way to phrase that is, “You better not shop anywhere else if you own a Walmart, because Walmart has EVERYTHING!”

There are so many products in Amway, that no one distributor could ever know enough about them to really know how to market them.  In the Long run,  Monitium is going to be the same way.  Having massive amounts of product lines sounds great on paper, but the truth is that people are better at learning how to market one product, verses several.  It is the concept of being the Jack of all trades, but the master of none.

The rebuttal to this is “Just sell the Monitium opportunity!” Yes, this is true, but all leaders will have to know their products over time, and it is a lot easier to master one product line, than several… and I have never seen a great salesman that doesn’t know what he is selling.

The biggest reason you will likely never see me in Monitium is the Freedom of Choice.  Some might find it comforting that “The Organization” does all of the research for you to pick “The best Companies.” Well, what if I don’t like the company, or product?  What if I don’t want it?  Personally I don’t like to be a part of a company unless I believe in their product; it honestly isn’t necessary to make money with MLM, it’s just a personal thing.  What about the distributors you brought in that don’t want the “New Product.”

Having a “Union” decide which companies I represent is a lot to me like having a boss tell me how to do my job.  I’m in network marketing because I think having a boss sucks.  I’m perfectly capable of researching a company and making a good business decision as to whether or not I should be marketing for them.

It’s also a lot like the government making so many stupid laws.  We the ignorant people aren’t smart enough to make our own decisions, so the all wise government has to come in and tell us how to live our lives.  Personally, I am going to market for who I want, when I want, because I believe in it.

…Anyways, I’m getting off on a bit of a rant.  Seriously, in an honest and fair conclusion, I think Monitium is a great company. I’m grateful that they are addressing a lot of the issues that are currently plaguing the network marketing industry, and I commend them for that.  I believe their example will aid in a paradigm shift that will help minimize some of the bull shit that is going on in the industry.

Monitium may be the right opportunity for some people.  Personally, I like to maintain a greater deal of control over how and what I am marketing.  I don’t need, or want ‘Big Brother’ making my decisions for me; the only person that has the same criteria for what I want is me, and I’m willing to bet for you, it is you.

If one knows what to look for, they can evaluate an opportunity for themselves.   I managed to find a company that doesn’t have the problems, has a product that doesn’t create the guilt factor, has great leadership, and no ‘Stacking’ issues… all by myself. Maybe somebody should buy me a cookie.

…No matter what company you do, don’t forget the ‘Marketing’ in Network Marketing, My “No Bull” bootcamp can help you with the basic principles for marketing any company or product.

I would love to hear your comments on this, so please by all means, share your feelings below.

Is One24 a Scam? An in Depth Review

Well, I was thinking about what company I was going to do a review on today, and my problem was solved for me. A good friend of mine, Tom Ritchie, approached me to look into a new project he is working on. Now if somebody spams me trying to get me to look at the next great deal, I am not going to look at it. However, if a friend of mine approaches me and asks me to give an opinion, I’ll at least review it if I have the time. There is a lesson to be learned in that; always remember that we are in a relationship business, and nobody likes spam.

The opportunity that Tom came to me with is “One 24,” a new nutritional company that has been started up by Mark Seyforth, a genius marketer that has been in the industry for years. Mark helped launch Herbalife, and truly is an industry innovator. He has developed a new compensation plan with One 24, that truly is unique. Rather than going out there to recruit the world, you are only allowed to recruit 1 person per month for 24 months, except during the “Gold Rush.” This is on the 24th of every month when everybody that didn’t recruit their 1 releases an open position to those that have.

Because people can only recruit one per month, when you refer someone to the program, they are put on a waiting list; they can’t join until a position becomes available. The cool thing about this is posture; there is something magical about telling someone they can’t have something because it makes them want it more. A lot of people make the mistake of puking their MLM on their contacts; this structured system forces you to have a level of posture because if someone is interested they have to go on the “Waiting List.”

There are no start up costs, and the product, “Nature Burst,” a whole food nutritional supplement, is only $60 a month. I have no idea if the product is any good, but hey, lets be real; there are a lot of companies out there that people make millions with that have $%#t for a product. So can you make money with One 24? Yes, you can, you just can’t make a lot of money fast; it is designed to be a structured system that will make you successful over a period of 24 months: hence the name “One 24,” that stands for One recruit per month, for 24 months to have success.

Is One 24 a scam? I don’t think so, Mark Seyforth is and industry innovator with a great track record, and I think that he will drive the company to success. It is certainly not the most lucrative opportunity that I have ever seen, but it is meant to be a simple system that anyone can follow to have results.

The marketing advantages of the product are a little on the weak side for a couple of reasons. First of all it just really isn’t unique, at least as far as I can tell. In network marketing it helps a company a lot to have first mover advantage. The product itself doesn’t have first mover advantage, but the company does have that edge with their compensation plan.

From a personal standpoint, I’m not a huge fan of nutritional companies in the first place. There are over 4,800 nutritional companies in network marketing, with new ones popping up every day. Most of them go out of business before being two years old, so you can build a downline and an income and then lose it over night. After reviewing One 24, I really have no idea whether or not they are going to make it off the ground floor. However, Mark Seyforth is a brilliant innovator, so I think they have a great chance; he believes that his new revolutionary compensation plan will make the company go viral. He may be right, and if he is, the opportunity is truly at the ground floor and could offer a great income to those that decide to act quickly.

I won’t be joining One 24, and after reviewing it I honestly have no idea whether or not jumping on it would be a smart plan. The biggest positive point that I have to offer is that it is very inexpensive to test drive it.  Therefore,  giving it a run isn’t going to hurt your bank account, and it just may seriously improve it. If you are considering joining One 24, please contact me and I will put you in touch with my friend Tom(his contact information should be in the comments); he is a good man and a great leader, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to align themselves with this new and unique company.

You may also contact me, my phone and email are below, and I will be happy to answer your questions if I have time.

If you are going to join One 24, I recommend branding yourself rather than the company, and building as large of a list as possible. If the company doesn’t make it off the ground, you will then have a list of qualified prospects that look to you for leadership. Simply put, you need to understand the concepts of Branding and Building a List if you are going to have success in ANY Network Marketing company.

You dig your grave, I’ll build my Pyramid.

_________________________________________________________________________

I was driving down the beautiful North Shore of Oahu today, and I had some thoughts on the network marketing industry that cracked me up.  I don’t know how many times I’ve heard the, “…Isn’t that one of those pyramid deals…” objection over the years, but for some reason people never seem to get tired of keeping themselves ignorant.

Let us discuss the wonder of the Pyramids for a moment.  These fascinating structures have intrigued mankind ever since their inception.  We don’t even know who built them, or how they were constructed.  They are arguably the greatest architectural feat of all time, and they were used to entomb the Pharaohs, or Gods, of ancient Egypt.  They are filled with, gold, treasures, royalty and endless amounts of speculation and mysticism.

Lets talk for a minute about a traditional job.  First of all they suck.  In our country’s beginning, 85% of people owned their own business, and the remaining 15% worked for them until they knew enough to go open up shop on their own.  Why has this balance completely shifted?  Who sold us the idea that it is better to slave away for someone else for 40 years…. for 40 hours a week…. just so we can retire on 40% of what wasn’t enough in the first place?  That has got to be the lamest system that I have ever heard of and yet we have over 80% of America subscribing to it.

Fortune magazine recently did a poll as to whether or not people liked their jobs.  The results came in:  85% of employees hate what they do and would leave in a moments notice if something else better came along.  Half of these monkeys still cry, “PYRAMID SCHEME,” every time they hear about a network marketing company.  Well genius, I’ll tell you right now I wouldn’t trade what I do for what you do.  40 hours a week, for 40 years to get 40% ….hmmmmmm…. that sounds a lot more like digging a grave than it does building a fortune.

By the time people are old enough to enjoy retirement they have one foot in both worlds.  To top it off, people are working longer now; do you think you are going to retire at 65 in the traditional system?  Well, per the social security administration, even right now at the age of 65, 98% of Americans are flat broke.

I’ll tell you what: You Dig Your Grave, I’ll Build My Pyramid.  Pyramids are a lot cooler than jobs anyways.  Pyramids are the greatest architectural feat in modern history; they are associated with gods and riches.  Jobs just plain stink, if you have one, or ever have had one, I’m sure you know what I’m talking about.  Is network marketing  pyramid structure?  Absolutely.

In network marketing we have the opportunity to be like a Pharaoh and build our own pyramid. Every person that joins an MLM has the opportunity to be at the top of their own personal pyramid.  News flash: jobs are pyramids too, the only difference is the CEO of your company is at the top, and you are at the bottom.  Wouldn’t you rather be the CEO of You INC.?  Wouldn’t you rather start your own pyramid from the top as the CEO than spend 40 years trying to work your way up from the bottom of someone elses?  It just makes sense, doesn’t it?

Just for a kicker for that uneducated skeptic saying to themselves, “Well, that is an illegal pyramid SCHEME….” I am going to take 1 more minute to educate you.  In 1979 two of the greatest events in modern history occurred.  The first was on March 27th, 1979.  On this historic date a child was born in Fairbanks, Alaska that would later come to be known as “Aki Wood.” The second event happened just over a month later, the FTC lost a five year court battle with the Amway corporation that made network marketing legal in the United States, and over 100 other countries.  BAM!

Interestingly enough, according to modern astrologers, the stars aligned just right on March 27th, 1979 to force photons to into the atmosphere that caused a mass awareness to overcome the entire planet.  Many believe that it is this phenomenon that raised the minds of the courts to a higher plane of being, thus inducing the landmark decision of May 8th.  For this very reason many have called me the destiny child of MLM, so if you are in the industry, and you would like a new and interesting perspective on things, feel free to follow my blog.  I’ll be providing valuable training and giving back to the community of networkers as much as I can.  I love this industry and I wish the best of success upon all of you.  Next time someone gives you the pyramid scheme objection just remember; It is Better to Build a Pyramid, Than to Dig a Grave.

Go and Build Your Empire,
