Why would I title this, “The Resurrection?” Well, Zing Social is the rebirth of a project that was dying, the late, “YourNight.com.” As I said in the video, no, Zing Social is not a scam. This Review will Reveal what you need to know about Zing before you make a decision to either join it, or promote it.
Zing Social is a United States based company that is trying to become the “Next Facebook.” Actually, they have been trying for quite some time; YourNight was in beta testing for a long time, never came out of it, and now has changed their name to ZingSocial.
Zing is a “5 in 1″ Social Network, where you have separate profiles for Friends, Family, Professional, Blogging, and Dating.
They were supposed to launch on the 15th of January, but are apparently still trying to work out some quirks.
The investment is low, only 10 dollars a month, and if you do it properly, YES, you can make money with it. Am I promoting it? No, I am not. If you would like to know why, you can go and read my post, Evil Distractions That will Kill Your Business.
I’m actually writing this review for all of you people out there that are going to join Zing Social, and actively promote it. I’m already cringing at the thought of my Facebook wall being plastered with the following message:
“Make Billions of Dollars for the Exact thing
You are doing right Now! You are already on
Social Networks, why not get Paid? 10 dollars
a month will make you a billionaire! Just Click
the Link and….”
…And you’ll be on your way to being one of the most fucking annoying people on Facebook… unless you actually learn how to brand yourself and generate leads in a way that actually works. Have you ever wondered why people HATE Network Marketers? Honestly, it’s because a lot of us are pretty damned annoying. If one actually learns how to market, people will come to them, and they won’t need to chase them down and spam all of your friends walls and email, or annoy the same neighbor once a month for 15 years.
Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter, all grew into booming social networks because their growth was organic. People went to the sight because they thought it was cool, not because they thought they were going to get paid for it. Therefore, I have 3 suggestions if you are going to market ZingSocial.com or any other product like it:
- Don’t Spam my wall about it, because if you do, I am going to send you to this link, and I will not speak another word to you until you have read this post.
- Go through my “No Bull Marketing Bootcamp.” It’s free, and you’ll learn the basics, and many advanced tips on how to market online… Here is a preview: spamming Facebook Walls and email is not one of the tequniques that I teach.
- You need to brand yourself as a leader, not the company because I have not seen one of these MLM Social Networks succeed yet. Go through my bootcamp, and you will no what I am talking about.
Don’t get the wrong Idea, I’m not bashing Zing Social. They are a legitimate company, and it just might be the one you want to work with. There are a few more things you should know while making your decision:
- ZingSocial is not “The First” MLM Social Network that pays its members. There have been dozens of them, and honestly, several of them have been scams.
- So Far, every one of these social networks that has launched, has been in “Beta Testing.” Basically, this means that most of the features don’t work, so when people sign up for it, they don’t have any fun on the site, and never go to it unless they are trying to get their team excited about spamming Facebook and MySpace.
So, in conclusion, is ZingSocial.com going to be the next great social network? I’ve got my opinions, but I’ll let you decide that for yourself… but for the love of God, don’t spam mine, or anyone else’s Facebook wall about it. I’ve never been a fan of these kinds of social networks for 2 reasons.
1. The people that are on them are other Network Marketers that are spam happy and it turns into a pitch fest.
2. By paying out to their members and reps promoting it they are blowing the profits that they could reinvest into their site. Because they’re paying it out instead they will never be able to compete with Facebook and therefore they will be short lived and create a bad image for MLM as a whole.

I’ll be honest, I got suckered by the hype when I first saw them, but “Hard Knocks” brought me to the same conclusion pretty quickly.
I do think the idea has some merit, but I haven’t seen anyone attempt to approach it in the right way yet… and I completely agree with the site becoming a spam fest. Nobody wants to hang out on a social network when everyone’s status update is a pitch for the new idea of the week. I watched the movie, “Social Network,” last night, and it drove the point that Facebook blew up because it was “Cool,” as opposed to being a billboard.

Haha, right. I remember when Facebook first started to get popular and you had to be going to a major college in order to be in a Facebook Network. I was going back to college that fall and wanted to hurry up and get my college email so I could get on Facebook and be “cool”.

Thanks for the warning Aki! I’m sure we’ll be getting a million spams about this Zing crap like we did when it was called YourNight. Honestly, we’d have to agree with Steph that it will be short lived and makes the whole industry look bad when they do that stupid shit. Nice review though and definitely recommend that those that do join up look at how to promote the RIGHT way.

Yeah, I’m not looking forward to the wall and email spams, and I’m fairly certain they will be coming. Feel free to send them the link to this, or if you or anyone else want to re post this, feel free, just put a link back to this site too.

Great heads-up. There needs to be counter-balance like this against all the hype. I try to leverage social media neworking to bring attention to my website and have run into many Facebook friends who are selling or promoting one thing or another. Well, I’m in the same boat so I can’t complain. I would say that most of my Facebook friends have been respectful with spam. Only very few actually send spam messages on a regular basis. What I am finding is that it is easy to get Facebook friends and Twitter followers – they consist mostly of people wanting to push something my way. There are more “sellers” than “buyers”. For my promotion, it is a website where I am not selling anything. For the great many promotions offering the opportunity to make money, they obviously attract more attention because of $s.

I agree that social media should be used to leverage one’s business. I just think there is a way to do it, and a way not to do it.

Absolutely Mark; I’m glad to have you here. Zing may not be my thing, but I have learned a bit more about the company in the last week. It seems that they have a better marketing strategy, and really are an entirely different company than YourNight was. I wish you and your affiliates the best of success.

ZingSocial.com is a total suckers website. Nothing great or interesting, and tons of technical bugs. Whomever their website deisgn engineer team is not on the ball. We tested with errors. Time for a new back end software and programmer. On and off again domain name changes smells like hype scam to us. If you are going to scam the public, at least do it technically correct.

Yeah, they never even managed to get the bugs worked out from what I understood. I highly doubt that any new social media site is going to gain much favor with the “Paid” structure though… whether they are fully functional or not.
